Manzanita Brewing Co: Manzanita IPA, Santee, CA Video

Manzanita IPA
8% ABV
90 IBU's (allegedly)

Newer brewery in San Diego's east county, in the city of Santee, CA.
BA calls it an English style IPA, and it was definitely was nothing in the realm of a San Diego like IPA. It needs some tweeking, in my opinion, but they are a newer brewery and only time will tell. I will be supportive nonetheless, it's local.

I'm sure the business aspect takes up a lot of the focus as? well, so it must be tough to find that balance between administration and production. I have had their pale ale before too, and it was along the same lines, kind of a slight metallic taste to it. I still haven't had anything from Iron Fist; I might just have to make a special trip soon. The whole 78 corridor, in fact, would make for a good day!

I've been curious about this one. Definitely sounds English style from your tasting notes. I know they are moving locations and expanding operations so hopefully that will lead to better brewed beers. I bought two of their beers but haven't gotten to them yet. Maybe I'll give this one a try after they move. With Iron Fist up? here in Vista, they've definitely gotten better since they opened. It can take awhile for brewers to scale up their recipes to large scales.
